TROUBLE SHOOTING FAILED faxes or fax server connection issues
-
EITHER Fax Server: Double check the fax number by calling it from your phone. IF you do not get a fax tone, that number is NOT a fax line. IF you get a fast busy, check dial format. You may need the area code for long distance inside the 225 area code. You may need the long distance code if using BACKUP line.
-
BACKUP Fax Server can EASILY get tied up with a large send – remember only ONE line.
-
LOOK at the Fax Status – what’s scheduled, pending, sending etc. on the BACKUP fax remember it’s only one line so if you send something while someone else already has a huge one going, yours WILL fail from busy line! Same goes for yourself, do NOT send multiple faxes at once on the BACKUP line. WAIT until it’s cleared.
