Respiratory Therapy Holter Monitor Data Upload Configuration
HOLTER MONITOR Data Upload Configuration
- The ability to add locations on removable drives to index and libraries must be disabled on the computer. Holter tell you to do this through group policy on the local p/c. However we do not allow end user O/S’s the ability run gpedit.msc even as administrator. This switch is not available in the server group policy. The alternate method used here was to edit the registry key using a little .reg file. See separate instructions & associated tools save in this same folder. The URL to this site is below. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/93784-disable-adding-removable-drives-index-libraries-windows-10-a.html
- A windows service also must be disabled:
Turn off Storage Service:
- Right click "Computer", select "Manage", double click "Services and Applications", then single click "Services".
- In the right pane, scroll down and find "Storage Service". Right click, and select "Properties". If it is running, click the "Stop" button. Then in the dropdown labelled "Startup Type:" select "Disabled"
- This will prevent the unnecessary storage service from running, since it is responsible for creating S.V.I. on USB drives.
- A specific version of Java must be used. In the folder labeled as such.
- The JAVA program must be run to configure some exceptions.
- On first run, accept the “risk” then unhide details in order to check off “do not ask again for this site”.
